That's a tough one. I think it depends on what kind of expectations were laid out initially.
Also, I've learned over the past year that not all marketing efforts produce immediate results. I started with MANcheck the middle of May 2004. One of the things I was supposed to do was bring in new webmasters. There was an initial flurry of activity in the first couple of months, but then very little for months after that. And the initial activity didn't amount to a lot financially. Then in January I met dalimili and he's made up for the whole year, along with a couple of others since then.
It takes a while to build contacts, to communicate with them, to make new contacts at trade shows, and don't forget, a new employee or rep has to climatize to you and your organization. I really wouldn't expect anything on a big scale for the first year.
