Having Someone 'Endorse' Your Products?

Just wondered if any of you folks had anyone famous 'endorse' your products or services for you and if so, how did it do?

We're looking at a couple of new things right now and one of them screams out for some kind of marketing / endorsement program to be attached to it but, im concerned that the cost may outweigh the benefits.

So has anyone here had any official endorsements by famous pornstars or anything like that of their products? If so, did you find it of any benefit?

Whenever someone talks about endorsements I always remember my first university marketing lecture.

My professor made the comment - they either work really well and are fantastic - until the endorser screws it up or absolute abysmal failures from the get go.
