    Check It Out How Do I Turn Off Birthday Reminders On ICQ?

    This thing is going to give me a coronary one of these days and must be turned off.

    Problem is, i cant find the option to turn that damn feature off.

    Anyone know where i can find it?

    Ok Lee, you're not going to like this answer, because I sure as hell didn't like it when I wanted to do the same thing.

    There is no way to globally turn off birthday notifications, you have to do it 1 at a time, user by user!!!!

    Right click on the contact's name, choose "user details". Click on "personal info". Uncheck the box which says "Remind me X days before the birth date".

    Totally dumb, and I have no idea why they don't have a global option for this.

    You should be happy you dont leave it as standard (8000 year old poster) Lee, the bastard was pinging my contacts everyday telling them it was my birthday. Thankfully the Linux Kopete messenger is better and has more options

    LMAO - wondering if you got startled last nite about the same time I did when that thing went off announcing Harlan's up and coming party day! That is a nice feature - but I could do without the birthday song blaring out all of a sudden in the middle of the night.

    Don't know which version you have -- but I just unchecked it one and saved, and all the others I opened now have that box unchecked. Pretty sure I have the newest version.
