    Another silly question from me

Just how difficult is it to create these small banners that I see on many of your posts? I would like to come up with one but am not sure how to go about it. I have Fireworks that I use for picture editing, can I use that to create something? :dunce:

you can create an animated gif using almost any photo manipulation software like Adobe ImageReady (comes bundled with PhotoShop) or Macromedia's Dreamweaver, plus as CuriousBunny mentions there are also loads of free ones too.

...or go hire a designer, most do small buttons like that for $10-20.

    cheers,
    Luke

I thought it would be more expensive than that. Heck, if its that inexpensive then I think it would be worth it to let someone else do it for me. At least until I could learn it myself. Recommendations on someone?

    Cool banners kcwebwerks,

Just as an aside you can use macromedia fireworks to create your animated banners - Just create a few extra frames in the frames box on the right hand side of your software and modify them.

Click export preview on the file menu and away you go.

As you previously noted though - easier to get Bec to do it though.

    Cheers,

    Allan

    Thanks Oz,

It was definatly easier to have Bec do the banner for me. The only thing I use fireworks for is to resize the occasional picture, and do color corrections for picture captures. I know exactly which buttons to hit to get that done and beyond that I'm lost. Even AFTER going through the tutorials... Same thing with Dreamweaver... Went through the tutorials and still don't have a clue what I'm doing. But hey, thats what the designers are for right? LOL :woof:
