What makes a Jock a Jock ?

What makes a Jock a "Jock" ? 
I see people chatting online that have for example 
Jock29 and I see the profile and the view is not what I expect. 
When I think of a JOCK I think of someone like this 
hot fellow. Is a jock just anyone wearing a jock strap ?

LOL I see the same thing and I'm always amazed at people who consider themselves "jocks" and "well built" and of course "well hung"...
I'm not a jock, would never be mistaken for a jock, and wouldn't try to convince someone that I am a jock.

Let me lose about 20 pounds and spend 5 years in the gym and MAYBE I could become "well built". But until then lets just call me slightly average.

I personally don't consider those with 4 inches "well hung", but of course thats just me...

I know that there are many more flattering descriptions that people love to give themselves. But those were the ones that popped into my "well built jock" mind. :wacko:

when i was in school , the term "jock" was applied to the guys in the "athletic department" ( wrestlers/football/basketball/etc ) who wore "jock-straps"
nowdays it seems to be applied loosely to anyone that wears a "jock" and is not meant to be an "age-definer" ( twink/mature/etc ) which is why some people feel comfortable hiding behind it.
i say if your comfortable being a 52 year old twink! , you go boy!

Much the same way that Michael Carrington was able to relate his plight of not being a T-bird to Delores Rebchuck's situation of not being allowed in the Pink Ladies. Or the way that Little Edie could relate her life at Grey Gardens to the Robert Frost poem, The Road Less Traveled.
