Hi, relatively new here (lurking for a while - comming out)

I've made this site... The way I'd like all sites to be :nerd:
But I'm doing something wrong...
I only get about 1 signup per week even with ~ 150-250 visitors per day...

I posted my URL on a bunch of link-list-sites but those sources dry up pretty quickly, don't they, and that kind of traffic doesn't seem very productive anyway...

I know this biz is all about networking, so I was wondering if there'd be anybody here with "bordering" sites interested in ... well networking :goseek

for starters - there isn't a right hand scroll bar - and when your page opens I can barely see the top of the enter and exit blocks. Soon as I get past warning page, again, no scroller. So I left.

I have to agree with Bec.. very hard to figure out though it is a different designed type site.. but i found it annoying that the very small thumbs opened into a very distorted image (least in firefox) and come to think of it, wasn't this asked before awhile back? Sure seems familiar but my memory could be wrong.

Still I think i can understand why its not doing great... too confusing I'd say.

Hmmm.

Wellll... by glancing at the site -- and I'm in the industry -- it isn't immediately obvious what the site offers, what its niche is, anything like that. There's no "join" link, no obvious tour of what's inside... nothing really to even keep the surfer's interest for more than about 3 seconds.

So to get them to convert, I'd suggest building a strong multipage tour, with both pics and text, telling peopl ewhat they are going to get, and why they have to have YOUR site... with an obvious link to the join page (perhaps clips of the movies, with the end of the preview clip featuring a "call to action" to the join page)

I find your site's navigation difficult.

Most users hate the use of frames.

Your pixelated previews don't entice me but piss me off. I'm of the mind that you have to give the surfer something in order to get them to pull out their credit card. Teasing them with "join now" buttons over cocks and pixelated images only serves to frustrate them, not necessarily entice them.

your pages don't really work in 800x600 (which about 40% of my surfers still use). i couldn't get far enough to tell what kind of site it was. btw, if it helps, i used ie.

If you guys can't figure it out, the average surfer sure won't.
But I would like to justify it somewhat anyway :nerd:

- There's no scroll bars when the entire page is shown !

- The pixelated images are clickable (geez) !

- No "tour" because the entire site is available - except for the videos !

- And yes, it's a "play with toys kinda site" with a little :whip: on the side !

Doesn't the word "Vault" suggest that there's something good inside ?
- something you can get access to, if you're prepared to pay for it...

In literal terms, a vault is a big metal box with a lock on it (usually timed to open only at certain times or with a combination). It's used to store valuable things like money, jewelry, etc. Vaults are usually in places like banks.

If you said something like "Twink Picture Vault" it would tend to suggest that they're locked up, inaccessible, or you need a combination or password to get in to see them. It might also suggest to some others that they are valuable or that there are a lot of them. But I wouldn't assume that everyone is going to make the same connection.

I would not have assumed that "vault" was your way of saying members area. I was still trying to figure out what in the world a bimboy was. That's where my mind was ... sorry.

And with mouseovers, I'd never assume people can figure out how they work, you need to tell people, too.

Sorry Bec, you were right, it's no good in 800x :borg:
- I've enabled the "main window" scroll bars, so it's not completely useless...

BUT, apart from that, I really LIKE the navigation on this site - it's neat !
So, I've added a Help! page, explaining some of the the peculiarities...

Does that make up for it, do you think ?
- or do I really have to kill it and start all over :cry:

The Vault is actually open to everybody - many "porn value" images inside,
it's only the actual video-files that are protected...

I know that you are proud of this site but you really need to scrap the whole design and start over. There is something to be said for doing something new and innovative, but the site is just plain ol' confusing.

I tried to browse the site and I left right away, too. After reading some of the posts in the thread, I tried it again and the experience was still unenjoyable. You need to make it as simple as possible for surfers to navigate or they will just give up... just like everyone else in this thread did.
