can you see this video clip?

so i make these video clips in two formats. everything plays fine. then i put them online - and suddenly i can't play the mpgs. the wmvs play fine. i can't get the mpgs to play in my media player while they're online, although they do play fine in my quicktime. i download the video that is now online, and it plays fine from my harddrive. wtf???

so... how many of you can see this video clip? it's around 10mb, so please give it a minute to load...

    thanks!

Tried it while on AOL - loads into mediaplayer, and from IE loads using quicktime ... so had no problems here.

Here's my 2 cents. (mpeg wouldn't play for me either).
wmv was built around media player..they are meant to go arm in arm.
With that in mind, mpeg has been around a lot longer and obviously has a much different format. For mpegs, ESPECIALLY longer playing/bigger files, the buffering takes FOREVER sometimes and simply times out..thus won't play. Heavy internet traffic, your cpu doing other things slowing down processing speed while you are trying to download the stream, etc etc will sometimes stop mpegs in their tracks. That's why I do nothing but wmv's now. (WMV's..Weapons of Mass Video!)

Ive 'heard mpeg1 files stream pretty good, maybe it depends what app u use to render?

that is an mpg1 - or it's supposed to be. that was the codec i chose when i made it. after writing this thread, i checked some other videos i made with that program. ALL of them play in my harddrive, and NONE of them play for me once they're online.

in all these years, they are the only mpgs that won't play for me online. something this video encoder is doing must be the problem.

    curiousbunny - thanks

nope - still doesn't play. i actually tried that earlier - i had problems with my last computers playing wmvs, but in certain player codes, i could watch them.

oh well was worth a try
mine opens in quicktime within the webpage.
You will proly need to render the clips again with a different tool.
