I've been busting booty to get my favorite tracks really polished and sounding good, so I can release them.
Since I have no decent payment method for mp3s, and physical copies are better to have anyway, I decided to use cafepress to offer the music on audio cds, with royalty-free license included. Unfortunately, they are having some major issues with their mp3 upload feature, so i'm delayed until they can get it sorted out. Hopefully within the next week.
Then, i'll be debuting the site, and the first album. My artist name is Sounds Like Sex, and the first album is An Introduction To Sex. Kinda cute eh? I think so. Plus i'm releasing an underscore cd with long, subtle tracks for use in scenes called Long and Uncut :p
Anyway, it's been taking a while because of said cafepress issues, the extra time it took to design the cd booklets & tray inserts, and making sure my songs were 100% polished so people get the quality they deserve. I'm right on the edge of it now though, and extremely optimistic about achieving some success as an independent artist. Hopefully cafepress will hurry up and get their shit fixed!
Thanks to everyone who has helped me, given advice, suggestions, reviews, etc. I really, really appreciate it! With a lot of advertising, and luck, maybe this will fund one of those ventures i've been babbling about for so long.
