Does your paysite make many live chat upsells?

It doesn't seem like our paysites are making many sales with any live video
sponsors. We've tried a few, but our members aren't that interested. Does
anyone here make a fair amount of live sales per month from inside their
member area?

hey, i've never done much with selling live in member areas, although i have a friend with a pornstar site who does a reasonable amount.

I have a friend with a small gay paysite. Using flirt-for-free, he earns about $100-$150 a month, usually from the same few members being upsold every month. Not much but the monies are applied to other plugins.

I dont use live chat upsells in the member area of my paysites. I know I get pissed when I sign up and pay for a site and then get hit with a bunch of teasers that ask me to spend more money. My experience with that before was not very good. I have seen members cancel because of bad experiences or too much in charges.

I do use them on some of my avs and feeder sites, but the results have been lack luster to say the least. I am in the process of setting up some asian guys on cams that will be available on my sites, since that is my niche. I think that if they are targeted to the niche, they can do well. And since they will be full time employees, I can do it without having to make it more costly, it will be part of the membership fee.

the live chats we use has a 100% free chat with video of the model - it only costs money if you go live 1 on 1. you can chat 24 hours a day if you wanted - plus change models regularly.

i used to promote bfcollection, and they offered their members live chat - with an explanation. their retention was stupendous, so i don't think it made the members unhappy.

I need to add to basschick's comment. Flirt-4-free allows free access. It could be added to a regular AVS site. IWith a paysite, members avoid having to click on age requirement and submitting their email address for free access.

Members can then knowingly decide to spend money personally controlling. Over the years Flirt-4-Free has grown with many models to select from that put others to shame, in my personal view. I mean... why pay for a college dorm room plug-in when 60-80% of the time it shows empty rooms?

My advice is to create a page in your pay site explaining, with the plug-in link at bottom. You could write for example:

When the model enters a 1-on-1 session, they are doing what ever that particular member is asking them to do and the model is no longer in the general chat. There is a charge for personally directing a 1-on-1 session, but
you will still be able to watch the model during the 1-on-1 mode, though the screen will shrink to 1/3 size and a banner will be displayed saying "Model is in private show, please hold all requests."

I guess I may not have been as clear as I meant. Shows that even Suki needs some sleep sometimes.

Since my sites are targeted at a pretty specific niche, I have found that my members are generally not interested in guys outside that niche. I have not been able to find any live chat services that have many asian guys, and not on a consistent basis. I found one that seemed promising but the only chatters ever on there were trannies and they just didnt sell. I think I would probably look at it differently if I was in a niche where the guys in the upsell matched the theme of my site. Hence my need to start from scratch on it.

What we are going to do is have scheduled live shows that the members will have free access to, say maybe once a day or at least a few times a week, and probably follow the current model with free live chat and the option to upsell to private one on ones if they like.

I understood your comment sukime69 and I was still basically responding to the thread creator basement.

Having a defined niche like asians, or sportsmen or any other particular niche besides young... the available live chats would not work for you.

If I understand you... you are hoping to soon provide a live chat with one or more of your models maybe once or more a week. Please know that you might soon have a service to sell to others. Quality asian content and live chat is rare. I hope you will consider building that live service with future sales to webmasters in mind.

Actually that is on my list of things that I want to launch. I am sure there are a lot of people that belong to twink sites or amateur sites that would be interested in chatting with some of our models.

I'm hoping to get it set up and running within the next couple of months. Been really busy filming lately and getting our new affiliate program ready to launch.
