just installed trillian

pretty kewl product, it integrates all your IM platforms (icq, yahoo, aol, irc and msn) into one simple product. It also integrated all my contacts automatically, I was kind of shocked at the number of contacts I have but its extremely nice to only load one product now!

Now I am wondering about the pro (paid) version...anyone running it? whats the difference and is it worth the upgrade?

I use the free version and love it! I tried the full version once at a friend’s house, but I didn't see anything that I just couldn't live without. They have quite a few plug ins that you can add in, but most where things that I wouldn’t use.

I just added a new icq contact and thought it was a bit strange that it did not prompt me to enter a message asking to be added. And I could not find any general event history file, like in icq. Anyone know where that is, or maybe that is one of the pro plugins?

I used Trillian like 2 years ago and i had a bad experience with it back then. it would never connect to yahoo or sometimes to aim or it would freeze alot or not load. my friend david just downloaded it a few weeks ago and he was telling me how well imporved it was. ill proly chk it out again sometime.

If the person is on your list you should see a button in the top of the message that will open the history file. You can also right-click on their name and click the option view history.

One thing that works sometimes is the file transfer. Somtimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I have been a busy beaver, trying to get caught up on my todo list so have been keeping low recently, thats all!

I use Trillian too... some quirky things that take getting used to after using ICQ, Yahoo and MSN separately, and being acclimated to their interfaces all these years.
