The Romanian team should have won with the best song, voice, and stageshow ...
But what can you do when Eurovision is not about song quality but about neighbor countries/islands, immigrants and historical ties ...
The Balkan countries vote for each other (Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia, the Baltic states vote for each other and for the Scandinavians (oh, yeah, this time, the Swiss were Estonians in fact), the Scandinavians/Iceland vote for each other and the Baltics, Greece always gives 12 points to Cyprus and Cyprus 12 points to Greece, the many Turks from Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, France vote massively for Turkey, so do other immigrants, including Greek communities from other European countries, Slavs vote for each other plus neighbors, Russian minorities from the Baltic states, Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus vote massively for Russia, Romanians vote for Moldova with 12 points, while Moldova votes according to their ethnic distribution - Romanians, Russians and Ukrainians, Romanian and Moldovan immigrants in Spain and Portugal gave their countries maximum points, and the same would have been from Italy, should that country not rejected this bullshit song contest, Andorra gives Spain 12 points and France 10 points, Spain to Portugal and viceversa, Belgium to Holland and viceversa, Monaco votes for France with 12 points, Albania, Bosnia and Turkey give each other many points due to their muslim affiliations, Israel gets many points from the Jewish communities in many European countries, Bulgaria to neighbors, Hungary from neighboring minorities, all in one it is all a BULLSHIT contest!

Regardless of the song quality for next year, here you have (more or less) the points given at Eurovision 2006:

plus getting many points from other countries - what I don't understand is why Israel is included in this contest? They are located in Asia, not Europe.

This is the map of the next Eurovision, if you wanna win, you have to get the remaining points beyond these already allocated. Enjoy the BULLSHIT

you also have to take into account that we related to Elena's song much more than other Europeans did.

Elena holding hands with the dancers all in a line mimiking traditional Greek dance- that's us in Bulgaria, in Macedonia, in Serbia and probably Turkey and Romania. We love that, that's what we do when we're together - we have the salads out and vodka and rakia and wine. It's the people's music and dance. There are so many of us in Europe that loved seeing and hearing part of their on heritage that it's only normal to vote for it.

I can tell you in Bulgaria there are people who voted against Greece because they tottaly dislike the whole movement of etno-pop-folk and think it's stupid and to them only western-type music pop, rock, rap is worth it.

On another note, the Malta song was great that girl has an awesome voice.

Also the Ukranian girl from last year had great performance as well
