Versatile site management system?

Are there any site management systems that would for example let me post articles, news and such in site automatically, like a resource type of site.

And then have subcategories to the site, for more articles.

Sort of a portal type thing. Gay.com-ish even

Do you want something that automatically selects news articles and then posts them to the site or are you more after something that places the news on the site where it belongs (almost CMS)?

well my initial idea is me and others writing articles in different categories A site that's sort of like gay.com

Not sure about automatically post news, as the whole site won't be english

Someone told me I could use that Mambo script.

Which is something like PHPNuke I think, but I'm not exactly fond of these too much

Im still scratching what I want to do with the domain and making it along the lines of gay.com just one of my ideas so I thought I'd see what CMSes are out there

I'm sure we could help you out if you wanted a CMS to manage the site.

You're probably after more of a mainsteam style CMS so don't limit yourself by just looking at the adult ones.

PHP Nuke is a goo done although, if you have specific needs, id suggest going the custom route

Custom programming is much cheaper than you may think these days
