my experience with single girl sites is that if the members get all the content, and also updates, they have a tendancy to stay longer. and i'm talking an average of over 6 months per join... i really hope josh has that kind of retention *crosses fingers*

AH, I see what you're saying. Yes, we have litterally tens of thousands of pics, and over 36 hours of unused footage in reserve should we not be able to shoot for a week, or month, or longer, for any reason. That's why it took us 2 1/2 months to go live with the site.
The reason that we are shooting every week, is that we want Josh's members to experience his life as it happens, not as it exists according to a script, random updates, or something similar.
As for running out of money to shoot or whatever, I'm fortunate to have that not be a problem with me. My previous business ventures have left me in a good place financially, and Josh's site, along with everything else that we release, is well positioned to weather any financial storms.
If something happens with one of our models? That's why we plan on having a full set of single models hard at work full time. Should something unfortunate happen that causes one of them to quit, we'll simply introduce his members to our other models, and carry them over seamlessly.

Wow. If I saw my friend's membership and decided to join myself, I'd feel really ripped off. Likewise, if I discussed the site on a board like Juicygoo and everybody saw something different, I would feel like I was totally being hosed.By having 10 shoots and a good CMS in place, whenever a new member joins, you can show that member set 1+2 whilst members that have been in the site for 2 or more months get to see sets 1,2,3 and, 4+ all the while, the newest member not realizing that others who have joined before him have seen what he is about to see on his renewal membership
'Course I guess that goes back to the same discussion about integrity and treating your members, vendors, affiliates, sponsors the way you'd want to be treated... to each his own....

What is a fan sign you ask? They're very common in the straight marketplace, but I've never seen it done before in the gay market. Like just about everything else we're doing with Josh, this will be an industry first. I've tried a lot to promote single model sites (or at least sites focused around a single model, upon which others may occasionally appear but on which the one guy is the namesake and focus of the site). I've done fairly well with them... while they last.
And that's the problem I've run in to.
When the model decides he doesn't wanna do it anymore... that's it. There goes the whole site. Or he gets a boyfriend who wants him to take it down. Or he moves or forgets about it or stops caring. Anything. The kinds of things that happen with models all the time. Yet in this case, the site rests upon that one person so when they bail, the whole site is useless. Whereas if one of the models on a big site doesn't wanna do it anymore, there are dozens more to take his place.
All in all, I love promoting individual models' sites - especially more amateurish guys (as opposed to, say, some big site that Falcon has for one of their models or something) and so will definitely be keeping an eye on JoshTucker.com and any other guys' sites that AlleyBucks.com comes up with. I'd love it if people started creatin' some kick ass ones and it looks like you guys are on that track for sure.
It's just the annoyance of having to delete banners and links and content and all that crap when a models' site that I'm promoting ceases to exist. Assuage my fears on that, JustMe and Josh, and I'd love to send ya guys some traffic
Well, believe me BDBionic, your worries are the same ones we had when we decided to go down this road. That's why we:
1. Spent several MONTHS looking for the right boy. Not only did he have to be cute and have charisma, he also had to have saying power. Josh was at his last gig (a cam site) for a year before leaving. Knowing everything we know about Josh, his life, his goals, his personality, we're confident we have someone that isn't going to jump ship, and that's in this with us.
2. Josh is getting something that virtually no twink model gets (if any?), % GROSS income. Not NET that can be massaged by the producer, GROSS.
3. He's getting paid directly from CCBill every week. We're having them do the split, and having them cut the check. Josh knows he'll always be paid, and will never be ripped off.
4. He's onboard full time, and we helped to pick up the slack until his checks get to where they need to be. This isn't just a part time job for him, it's a full time venture that he has a vested stake in.
5. We have tape after tape after tape of content in reserve. Should something happen that prevents shoots from taking place, we can keep his site updated for a LONG LONG time.
6. We have more single model sites in the works now. Again should something happen, not only could we keep his site updated, but we could also provide his users with access to a 2nd site where there's an active boy. They get to keep seeing new things of Josh, while at the same time get to know, interact, and fall in love with a new boy. The transition would be seamless.
7. Here's another big thing that's going to make us so successful at this. Our age. I'm 26, my partner is 27. We've been living together as a couple for 7 years now. Why does this matter? Well, for 2 reasons:
a. We're about the same age as these guys, and can really just hang out with them. They're comfortable around us, and we're comfortable around them. We have a much different working relationship, than say, a 50 year old producer would have with a model in his early 20s.
b. We're in a relationship, and don't need to pressure or try to molest the models to get thrills. As we all know, there are a LOT of producers in this business, especially the twink market, that are in it to touch the boys, even more than they're in it to make the money. A model will only put up with that shit for so long (if at all), before he gets sick of it and heads for the hills. Our models never have to worry about us trying to get freaky with them.
8. We keep Josh chained up in the basement, he literally can't escape and relies on us to bring him down food and water to survive.
