Interesting thing to watch will be whether or not Clay's publicity machine takes legal action. You can bet there's already been a threatening letter sent to Lucas Entertainment, but whether it goes beyond that is what will be important.

If the story is true, there's some DNA of Clay's on that towel, which would be pretty hard to explain away. And that puts Clay's PR firm in a pickle. The normal PR spin would be to use the "be outraged with that appalingly false story" plan... but they're going to have a hard time selling that one if the guy volunteers to have the towel tested.

Fun stuff...

Im not really seeing how this is actually news, everyone and their mothers knew the guy was gay, he just also happens to have sex, big deal [shrug]

This is just another case of the tabloid media 'outing' a celebrity and making the gay lifestyle be something that everyone should be ashamed of and well, im not.

if this is true then I feel bad for him and this is something that pisses me off about the gay community. We can be so fucking catty that we have to eat our own and ruin someones career in order to prove some point.

Most of Clay's audience is women who fantasize that they could get a hot nerdy guy like Clay, and if they think he's gay they'll stop buying his records.

You can say "Who cares if he's gay", but if he's outed his sales will plummet and his career is all but gone.
Look what happened to George Michael. He was a huge megastar, but he was dragged out of the closet kicking and screaming when he didnt want to be, and now his records dont sell anymore.

However if this story is true, then I am pissed he's going around barebacking with strangers he meets in chat rooms. What a fucking idiot.

No. Don't care about Clay or his shtick.

Did he badmouth the gay community? I think actions are louder than words - he goes around saying how he's not gay, gets offended when someone suggests it, just how dare they call him gay.

He hangs around the jesus crowd and what not, bashing gays, putting out the false image to sell records WHILE marginalizing gays. While fucking bareback with online tricks reinforcing the already distorted image that all fags go online and fuck without rubber and that's why they all get aids.

So I couldn't give a shit about Clay, it's what he does and how he does it that I have a problem with. I wouldn't have a problem with him were he not so mouthy when the gay issue comes up and clinching to the bible and saying shit.

Well you know, if you are picking up tricks on BigMuscle.... what do you expect? Set your expectations. I'm sure Clay has. I don't live in California, but I'd assume that celebrities are like politicians... who I do know living in Austin.... and they are basically guys functioning in an elaborate denial. (I'm not calling that a plus or a minus... just observing)

Now for me what I find really tacky is going out of his way to mention barebacking. If John Paulus exganged in that with him, than Paulus has done it before. And Lucas presents the subject in his press releases as a moral negative. I'm reminded of Bill Bennett writing a political book about moral virtue, and subsequently later confessing to a debilitating gambling addiction. How long will it be before another BigMuscle lurker come forward alledging similar sex with Paulus? Be careful on whom you hang your hat.

Aside: People mused earlier about Aiken's legal machine. I wonder if Clay Aiken lawfirm knows persistence as Cobra Video's?

My take:

* Everyone knew Clay Aiken was gay from the beginning. That's old news.

* He's never been more than a marginally talented Rick Astley wanna-be to begin with; his career was eventually going to stall just like Astley's did.

* Staying in the closet out of regard for one's career is fine with me. It's going on record as being opposed to being gay that bothers me about Aiken's behavior. Same with Tom Cruise. Be gay and stay in the closet if you want to make milllions. That's your career, your life, your choice. But don't bash gays if you are one yourself. If you do, you deserve whatever's coming to you.

* Clay's "ex" can go around crying about how he was coerced into having bareback sex all he wants, but the fact is that boy consented to it in the end. He's built bigger than Clay; he could have taken him, so there's no use in him crying "rape" or anything silly like that. He's trying to say that Clay used his (alleged) "star power" to "force" him into bb sex. Bullshit. Little Mr. Star Fucker is hardly innocent in this matter.

* The fact that Clay's "ex" is using this so-called "controversy" as leverage to launch his porn career with Michael Lucas is pretty skanky on its own merits. Lucas isn't exactly what I would call an industry leader in tact, though.

* The self-righteousness on parade in this whole mess is what bothers me the most -- on ALL sides. You've got Clay thumping bibles and basically denouncing the gay life even while he's allegedly sticking his cock in all kinds of holes; you've got the media (not to mention the scandal-obsessed public) latching onto the story and giggling with glee while they watch an American idol (literally) being "taken down a notch;" you've got Clay's ex crying that he feels dirty for having let Clay "coerce" him into having bareback sex, and you've got Michael Lucas running around (as usual) thumbing his nose at "those awful barebackers" again while basking in the glow of the spotlight as he clammors for his next 15 minutes.

As far as I'm concerned, this whole thinks stinks of nothing but ugliness on all counts. It doesn't make anyone involved look good.
