This has been a really useful thread for me. AJ and I have been talking about doing some things to reward top affiliates and create incentives for current or new affiliates. I really like Paco's idea and woudl be very open for any other ideas people have.

make sure the items are current. Platinum Bucks is offering a lot of electronics which are more or less obsolete or near worthless, like a 128MB MP3 player & a 3MP camera.

I stir clear of contests too, or at least they don't make me promote a sponsor. I would much rather they would keep their Hummers and work on getting their site to convert better. And this I'm saying innocently, not even implying they, cough cough, shave...

That said, regarding the original post that started this thread, many of us are simply not aware of past scandals... The board owners have that historical perspective, and I would like to hope that a reputable board wouldn't want to be associated with scammers. I guess I really am innocent, huh? :beauty:

Here is an idea for you Chip. (its actually something im considering)

NATS, which you use and i soon will be has a built in reward system.
As Paco said, electronics, physical goods ect that need to be shipped is no good really. And stuff like Amazon gift certificates are also a bit worthless. In all honesty if something wants something like that they will buy it.

Here is an idea i have had.

Use the reward system for what could be called "affiliate packs".

For instance,

One of your prizes may be

2% increase on revshare for LIFE
---

You can accomodate for refferals to for instance

1% refferal bonus for LIFE
-------

See basicly, yes your giving prizes, but everyone WINS.
Their price is to earn more.


Id actually like some opinons on this. I wasnt planning on saying anything untill i was planning it properly.

i like that idea. it rewards loyalty and hard work. that would incentivise me for sure.

i think it also ties in with that other thread about why should people who dont send that many sales get the same rate, this way they wouldnt but smaller webmasters dont loose out either.

Well when i launch on NATS shortly, i think thats going to be my reward program. I think i would even be willing for big affiliates, who have been sending traffic and sales for a LONG TIME to work up to 100% revshare!
