I know of 2 free programs and 3 pay programs that capture video from any site and have built in converters for mov to avi, fla to mpeg and so on.

So in knowing people will simply get the video if they want it, is it going to become a norm to add a download with every file?

The programs that I have seen that do this, don't do it at the full quality... I use one called Snag-It on ICUII

I also have the Firefox plugin - And what it doesn't snag, I use the veoh plugin - and past that - I use a grabber that acts like a browser and saves the file as it loads.

Not sure if I follow you on this question. But don't most paysites allow you to download a copy of the movie already... even the DRM movies (with limited-use license)?
