We've Been Hacked

BUT..and this is a big but (no pun intended), you can't have ccbill's script or anything like that on their servers. They won't allow that (I know..I tried).

So am curious Derek as to how you collect your monies?

We use CCBill and their scripts. Have been for over a year.
Godaddy allows that too. The one and only problem with using CCBill's scripts is it takes about a half hour before the protected directory begins prompting for password access.

My entire server got hacked on 1/23/09. Still restoring the backup as of Sat morning. We think they got in through either phpads or Moveable Type.

I've had servers hacked several times over the years. Fortunately, we've never lost anything of any consequence, but it's still a hassle in any case.

One of the things I like about NatNet is I worry a lot less about hacking now... not to say I don't still keep an eye out, but they seem to be really good about keeping security patches updated and keeping an eye out for unusual activity.

So far, at least, we haven't had any issues since moving to NatNet.
