Photoshop Question... Open Multiple Images In Same Document?

Does anyone know of a way that i can open a bunch of images in the same document in multiple layers (as oppose to each one in its own document with 1 layer)?

I have a few hundred screengrabs that i need to resize and rather than opening them all 1 at a time and running a batch, id like to be able to have them all open in the same document and just crop it and save them individually after hiding the individual layers.

use the batch edit put all the files in a folder then batch edit that folder
