Wordpress Version 3.3, named Sonny in honor of the great jazz saxophonist Sonny Stitt ... is now available, so a heads-up to update your blogs.

I already did a couple and they've done some streamlining to the admin menu system (finally!) plus cleaned up those funky curly { things that show up when using some word processors to write up your posts. Experienced users will appreciate the new drag-and-drop image uploader, hover menus for the navigation, the new toolbar, improved co-editing support, more options for the permalink structures and they've added a new Tumblr importer.

Was there any security issues that were patched with this update?

I don't think so Luke ... looks to be an upgrade for performance and features.
