Chatroom CP Stings
I think the recent news media attention to the chatroom child porn and child endangerment stings and busts shows that all along, the real problem on the net with "child porn" has been the one-on-one consumer predators - not us adult webmasters as producers and providers of adult photo and video entertainment media.
Further, these stings have shown that we adult webmasters and producers of adult content have been mindful of laws pertaining to the ages of actors/models on our sites and in our video and photographic works - because the law offending persons have not been webmasters or our customers, they've been the one-on-one hookup consumers... and the dark underground world of the child porn traders.
Sometimes I feel sad that law enforcement and civilian vigilantes set up chatroom stings, because I feel "stings" are fantasy situations that lure otherwise disinterested persons into false illusions of hope and promise, then snare their victim and blame him for buying into their scenarios devised by their own illusions...
BUT, the best part of all of that stinging going on is that its all about the chatrooms and one-on-one webcam operators, not us mass media entertainment producers and providers.
I think those of us in this business to earn a living from the economics of artistic and entertainment media are not only more wholesome and law abiding than those in the prostitution business model, but distinctly separate from them as well!
Long live artistic freedom and freedom of speech, and responsible webmasters and producers.
