So, has anyone here started a New Year's resolution?

I'm just wondering. I actually have one overall resolution, and that's just to step up in all areas of my life and really show my stuff. My life has been a constant journey of self-improvement, just really trying to become the man I've always envisioned myself to be. That means just being a better, more accepting, less judgmental person. Trying to lose some of the self-righteousness that I took on as a result of a troubled adolescence and early adult life. Trying to be more accepting of other people's decisions and not judge them by mine. All that good stuff.

Additionally, my career and health are two big areas I want to focus on as part of this umbrella goal to improve myself.

In that respect, I have a few very promising projects in the making. I've pitched my second book project to Alyson Books (it's a comprehensive guide to gay cinema), I'm in talks with a VOD site to launch a gay porn talk show, and I'm finally dragging my lazy ass into the gym with a personal trainer for a major health and fitness project for Frontiers magazine that will begin with the next issue (it hits stands a week from today; next Monday). I'll be working out for six months and keeping a blog about my progress. There are before-and-after pics, and an essay on my battles with "gym phobia." It's all about conquering one's fears and forging ahead with life and the pursuit of happiness, and I'm very excited about its potential.

At any rate, that's what I've got going on this year. I'm curious to know if any of you folks--either personally or professionally (or both)--have your own projects or life makeovers in mind.

If it's professional, who knows... I might even be able to write about it for AVN Online. So hit me up via kenknox@avn.com, or just post here.

Let's hear it, people. What's on your agenda for 2007?

XOXO,
Ken
