He may call it a joke but I think the joke will be on him.

To put out a press release reporting his death in order to promote a film is the height of stupidity. Since the release and photo were issued by Lucas Entertainment, placing a logo on it would have been within the realm of possibility.

Lucas himself is a jerk and a joke for pulling such a stunt. The guy has no taste or class. His ego seems to get in his way more often than not. His explanation reads as if anyone who read it and believed it wasn't very bright. Unfortunately, a great deal of the media did report it as true and he waited nearly 20 hours before issuing a statement admitting to his prank.

The old adage about their is no such thing as bad publicity I think may well backfire on him in this case.
