we've been working on the scripts all night long. If you plan to run the blogs all on RSS feeds than Blogs Automater is good for pulling articles from your database randomly and put those feeds into categories and the like. It's also better than BO for replacing text, filling keywords into article headers and headlines and is has a powerful campaign tool.
We use BO too because it helps to build the templates easily within 5 minutes for each blog and automatically fills in all the Meta Tags and Stuff. I think if want to run a huge network of blogs as you plan to do you are doing good to use both tools unless you plan to build all the templates yourself and create metatags and that stuff by hand. I think its a good investment for managing hundreds of blogs.
