Well, if they could get hold of a copy of an ID, they'd be legal. Thanks to the loopholes in 2257, you could pull a production date out of your ass and you're compliant.

But honestly, my guess is they're betting nobody is going to come and try to get them on a 2257 case unless Hartnett looks obviously underage. And if they're willing to pay $500K, they obviously think they can make more than that.
