When Australia censors access to the internet it will not only include adult sites and child porn sites, but they're looking at extending it to controversial sites as well. Australia will be the second country to censor the internet, the first was China. As with China, Australian internet users will not have the option to opt out of censorship.

The thing that I find disturbing is that Britain and the U.S. often do pilot television shows and product releases in Australia to do market research before releasing a product in the states or Britain. I think this could be a first step to censoring the internet in other Western countries. Your thoughts?
