Apple announced yesterday at the "Let's Talk iPhone" event that it is releasing the new iPhone 4S, and not the iPhone 5 as was expected. The news was a bitter disappointment to iPhone fans around the world.

The new phone will be the "most amazing iPhone yet", and will tout a better cam (8 MP), dual core A5 chips, iOS 5 and iCloud integration and a handful of other improvements. What is notably missing, however, is the 4G (LTE) and Near Field Communications hardware.

Apple also announced a new price structure, see the attached for new 2-year contract pricing.
