I agree that porn is a different beast and is changing every day.
However, I wouldn't say there aren't any connections between owning an adult store, being a stripper, owning a soft porn site, erotic stories site, a very hardcore site and ect....some view it "all" as "porn" but, with different levels of interest and levels of sexuality perception.

What I may view in this industry as acceptable, some might think was horrible and screwed up. As well as when I see something that makes me sick, they might feel is fine.

When someone owns an adult message board, I believe is there's to do with what they want. I might not like the way they run it or what they do with it. But, I didn't pay for it, I don't pay the bills for it, didn't do all the work for it and I don't have to keep it up.
I don't think it has a thing to do with freedom of speech or lack of it.

I believe when people think that what someone else owns, should be ran the way "they" think it should be run is wrong (there's gotta be a name for that...I just can't think of it right now...)

Where does it stop though? What are the boundaries of what someone owns not being judged on how they own it, run it?

Well I actually think we are comming to an common ground here. I won't argue that what someone owns they can do what they want with. Given, granted and not disputed.

But I am going to argue that if you are involved and/or earning a living from the porn industry. They have to check the ego at the door and not try and put themself as the judge of what is or isn't obscene and what someone should or shouldn't view. And especially if they aren't on the front lines.

Regardless if porn is 18 year old glamour models filmed on the Italian Riveria. Or is an 80-year old inter-racial gang bang.

Porn will always be exactly like toilet paper....

You can have your bargin brand that is like hard newsprint.
You have your expensive extra special squeezable Cottonelle.
And Sometimes it is pink and sometimes it is white.
etc etc etc.

Regardless of what kind of grocery store and where you walk in it. All the different brands and types are always going to be in the same area.
And in the end.... It all does exactly the same job and ends up in the same place.

I don't know the law in France...but, if it were my board I would censor or remove it asap. Why? Well, a person can be arrested in the US, for writing about their fantasies on having sex with or hurting children. I'd question what the authorities would think if they found that post on my board (not to mention I personally would have hated seeing it).

I'm glad they didn't arrest SouthPark for running that same joke on their show. I like SouthPark, sometimes :francais:
