virgin by request ;)
LOL yeah I am on EST time zone with no daylight savings, so I will be posting here at different times now! And yes, the first 4-5 days were hard with the time change, but I am pretty much adjusted now.
Panama is a pretty wild place, its all go all the time. Its way different than the relaxed & easy going pace that I used to enjoy in Brisbane. Its amazing the difference from last November when we visited to now, there are already two huge new shopping malls plus prolly 15-20 new towers either done or being completed in the city centre.
I have had a lot of fun shopping, stuff is incredibly cheap here. And food shopping is neat as there are so many different products, not just brand names but stuff I had no idea existed!
We have also been shopping for a new apartment. We have it narrowed down to a couple, both of them have 3 bedrooms, 3-4 bathrooms, big outdoor deck areas and of course maids quarters. We were chatting with one local who said that everyone has to have a maid, so I guess thats next on the shopping list!
The only difficulties so far is with the language barrier, but I am starting to pick up some key phrases plus we are hiring a tutor soon. I am sure that after a bit of time this won't be a big issue, plus the locals are very friendly and patient. The love chatting about Australia and the "canguros".
I think this weekend we will be braving it and hitting some of the clubs, there are heaps of gay bars here and I have heard they really go wild too. Like at foam parties, they pump foam into the entire bar upto your waste. So you are packed in a bar filled with wet and horny gay latino boys
cheers,
Luke
