What do you think?

I think that people like that (a cop, a priest, a celebrity) should serve more time then a janitor because if you are a cop or a preist...the job comes with a certian level of trust, we were all raised to trust a cop and trust the preist and the bad ones make everyone else look bad (sound kinda firmiliar?) :honest:

I grew up catholic and was an alter boy, never molested...I think it's a pitty in the first place that priests are molesting children, and what's worse is the church covering it up. but that's another post. People with a level of trust and respect should get DOUBLE what a janitor would, because they knew better. They knew it was wrong and they did it anyway...put em under the effin' jail. people like that truly make me sick.:ill:

but let's not forget the root of the problem in the first place...underage kids, If their parents payed attention to what their children were doing in the first place none of this would even happen. he had to have talked with that girl on multiple occasions to get her to send him naked pics of herself, (unless she's just a total whore, then she'll make it big in this industry when she turns legal.) grrr..

josh, i totally agree. it should be an entirely additional set of charges to exploit children you have access to due to the privilege of being in a trusted position. i don't know about a celeb - to me, that's more complicated. i mean, just because someone becomes an actor or a singer doesn't doesn't mean that they have accepted the public's trust in the same way.

on the other hand, people do trust and love their celebs - but i'm not sure why. arnold being elected governor with no kind of political experience or appropriate knowledge regarding working with goverment funds is a good example of how people feel about their celebs. and even though, since he's been here, we've had a bunch of hospital emergency rooms closed, and money cut from everything arnold promised money to, there are still lots of people who will vote for him - just because he's famous :-/

and that's why i didn't touch that subject babe. Because we all know a celeb can commit a double murder and have an ocean of evidence against him and walk (coOJugh) In the case of Michael Jackson, we all know he molested those children, it just goes to show you that the justice system in this country gets just as star struck as the rest of us. It's a shame, lady justice is supposed to be blind, but apparently she watches TV.

OK, DO we know this about Michael Jackson? You don't think that b/cuz he's a celebrity, you are jumping to your OWN conclusions about his alleged guilt? Obviously, the guy has got some problems with appropriate behavior involving children, and I do think that he is in some serious need of therapy to work through his Peter Pan syndrome. But I don't know that he actually molested those kids. He may have shown them pornography, which is entirely inappropriate, but I don't know about the rest, so I reserve my judgment about the severity of his guilt. I definitely think there is something twisted going on over there, but it is very possible that, b/cuz he IS a celebrity, that he was an easy target for these kinds of allegations to be made about him.

My general rule of thumb: Unless you were there to witness it, don't make declarations of someone else's guilt. Benefit of the doubt is something that I feel should be observed more often.

Oh come on dude let's be real for just a sec. the kids described what his penis looked like the FIRST time all this shit happened. He slept in the same bed with them, he's in his 40's. When was the last time someone slept in the same bed as you and u didn't do anyting with them? and then have them be able to describe what your dick looked like. And don't u think he had a motive for showing them the porn in the first place, giving them alcahol. I dunno.. i may be wrong...but i really doubt it.

it's nice to know u feel the same way about the OJ thing tho

i don't believe anyone knows what happens in any situation unless they are there. michael jackson could have had an employee - a clothing designer or something - who could have described his dick. is it likely? no. is it possible? absolutely!

and josh, dahlink - please try HARD not to call me babe again

I called BassChick "FishWoman" once. She didn't like that one either.

Be careful, she's a former body builder, and can kick your ass. I learned that the hard way.
