That's what you're doing when you film bareback. Period. Unless you test extensively before hand, and even then that's not safe.
People bareback for many reasons, but the main reason is that they're HIV positive already and have nothing to lose. Remember that.

Being a responsible producer has nothing to do with pretending, it has to do with reality. If you feel "all the money" is in filming bareback you're wrong. The money is in quality content.
The reality is when you hook people up and pay them to have sex, you are a part of the equation. There is also a liability issue with any model that comes back and says they were depressed, or just broke up with their boyfriend, did bareback sex for X amount of money, and now have HIV. In case you haven't noticed, talent does sue the production company.
If you're gonna do it, you need to be very careful, if you're not, you will lose more money in the end then you make and you'll be a part of someone getting HIV.

If you are going to shoot bareback, it is my belief that the following two rules must be in play.....
1. Models should not be required to bareback to get the job.
2. They should not be paid less money if they choose not to.
This completely eliminates the possibility of models taking bareback jobs only because they can't find any other work.
If you stand by those two things, then all bareback models will have made a decision to bareback that didn't involve money. Which means they are either a longtime couple who has been barebacking for some time, or two random models who'd bareback anyway even if the camera wasn't there.

If you read back to the beginning of my first post on this thread, I said that each person must make their own choice.
Yes, of course there are people barebacking who don't care, or assume they'll be lucky, or they think they have some magical way of staying negative. What people do on their own time is their business... EXCEPT when they lie or deceive others, such as when a positive person has sex with another person and lies or omits the fact that he is positive. In California, that's a felony.
But just because there are dumbasses who are reckless, or people with self esteem problems that for whatever reason don't feel comfortable asking the other person about being safe, or kids that assume they're invincible, that doesn't mean that we as an industry can use that as a carte blanche excuse to make it OK to further perpetrate the idea that barebacking is OK.
It's really easy to say "Everybody does it, why not me?" or "These guys want to do it anyway, so I'll just let them do it and make the extra money from selling a bareback title" or "Well, it's their choice, not my business if they want to be unsafe."
It takes integrity to say "I am in a position to influence, perhaps a lot, perhaps in only a tiny way, how the people viewing my video will think. How I choose to use the influence I have is a great responsibility, and I want to use that for more than just my own profit."
I agree that a significant number of people in this industry appear to have little integrity... sleeping with their models as a "requirement" of the job, lying/deceiving models to get them to agree to work, encouraging unsafe behaviors, shaving affiliates... whatever that behavior might be. But just because you choose to work in an industry with many people that are less than completely ethical doesn't mean you have to also be unethical. It's certainly easier, and perhaps more profitable, to choose to ignore ethics, but that doesn't make it right.
Some might call me unrealistic, but I believe that by treating others the way I'd like to be treated... choosing to, in my small way, try and communicate a message that helps, rather than hurts others... doing everything I can to nurture relationships with models, affiliates, sponsors, and others in which *all* parties can be financially and personally successful... I believe that ultimately, my company will be successful and grow, simply *because* people will eventually choose to do business with someone that's shown an interest in caring about something other than themselves.
I'm far from perfect, and I don't always meet the standard I'm aiming for, but that's how I try to live my life, and how AJ and I try to conduct our business.
I'm not saying it's the only way, and I'm not saying that people with different beliefs and ethics can't be successful. But from my perspective, it's just as Basschick said... you do the right thing because it's the right thing to do, not because you'll get caught if you don't.
With that in mind, if you still feel there's no problem shooting bareback content, more power to you.
