you can often get the host to take it down if you show them the original. you can also let any link lists or tgps or sites you trade with know this is going on.

you seeing hits from those pages? and were YOUR version of those pages called gay-stories.html?

Ouch... so what's the remedy? or is there one?

Mind you I noticed that what I thought was the server for DirectNIC it is in fact the old server my host had for nameserver... so it 'might' simply be a mix up at my host with a new account, but I don't know... they got the pages but no pics.. and my IP is close too.. so I don't know... i hate computers at times..

So assume it isn't a mix up, what is your suggested course of action?

Yes, I am seeing hits to my two sites, seems I have two cloned or whatever it is they are calling this scam. I use the shorthand url in my internal linking structure which might be a mistake, but yes, 'gay-stories.html' is the right name, in fact all of the pages are showing as they are named on my own sites.

so i think, if this guy is hosting with my host, that perhaps the IP they gave him or set up somehow got crossed... but to cover my ass, i have notified the host, and Google as well... do not want a duplicate penalty

let us know whether it was a host mistake or someone stealing your stuff. i KNOW that the people with the jewelry site are gonna freak if it's a hosting mistake with this on their site!

was this http://www.crystalljewelry.com/ your index page? if so, maybe it IS a hosting mistake, and SUCH a hosting mistake!

you know what's amazing is i actually get stories from the stolen sites and galleries - for some reason, saw a bunch with topbucks earlier in the year :-/

Yeah that is mine, and clicking any of the links, takes you right thru my site, which is odd, if they crawled it to steal it, didn't show up in the logs, so i kind of think its a host issue... but the other site, that one I don't know.. though its the same whois... so i suppose.
