To answer a question that was asked:
Well I'm here to learn more about the gay porn industry! For my last semester in business school I am doing a final project on the changing world of mass and niche media and entertainment, with a focus on gay M&E.

To make a long story short: The more I find out about the industry, the more I realize I'd like to work in it... which convinced me to start a small company here in Montreal after school (or convince one to hire me in california - one can dream )... Anyway, lots of things to learn and this is a great place to continue my search!

[ For those who are interested in knowing more: I'm trying to answer questions such as: What are the current and long term trends that will affect the industry? (user-created content, personalization, narrowcasting, etc) How can companies compete against or take advantage of those trends? Can old media survive/prosper? (gay magazines for example). Will porncasting ever take off? If so how will it change the market dynamics? How can we apply in the gay M&E industry what's being done in some bleeding edge companies? (flicker (photo tagging), brightcove (narrrowcasting), IgoUgo (user-created entertainment content), YouTube (video tagging), ohmynews (user-created news content), etc) Where is PlanetOut heading? and so on...]
