I hear you there.

I think the main problem that AVN has had, specifically with the gay seminars is that most of the time they were being used as a marketing tool by the speakers on them.

From what i saw of the gay seminar at the last Pheonix Forum, the only people on that panel that really had any significant answers to those webmasters fielding questions were Brian, Rainey from Pride Bucks and Lisa from BadPuppy. Even to the point where several of the panelists didnt even know what a 'reality' porn site was to me at least, that shows a complete lack of understanding of the workings and state of the adult/gay online porn industry, i mean seriously, how can anyone not know what a reality porn site is these days?

I hope we see some more gay topic panels at Internext in August or even the January '07 show. Hopefully, with more panelists who actually do know what they are talking about like the 3 people i mentioned above, im a firm believer that if you dont run an adult website, you shouldnt be telling other webmasters how to run them and, as such, you shouldnt be on a panel.

There is after all, only so many times you can keep recycling the same old crap over and over again or promoting your own sites before it becomes boring and counter-productive.

Thats just my opinion though, im sure there are others who love hearing the same people, telling them the same thing year after year as if the industry hasnt grown.

Lee
