I LOVED VEGAS!

Honestly, I had a BLAST up there last week.

Things I loved most about it:

* The networking - This happened at not only the parties, but on the show floor as well, where I got to meet a lot of people I'd only been emailing or talking over the phone with.

* The seminars - Contrary to what some might think, there were plenty of seminars last week. There were, in fact, about 6 per day, and they were VERY interesting. I went to five of them, and I loved just about all of them. Tony Lovett (my boss here at AVN Online) really made it a point to put together some very cool seminars (Mind F#ck '06 was one of the best of the lot for sure), and the one on Branding and the one on Blogging/Podcasting were AWESOME! If you missed these, shame on you. (By the way, Kelly, I didn't see you at any of the seminars. Hmmmmm... maybe you would have liked them more if you had attended them. Haha)

* The people - It was just great to hang out with the people that I did. I met a lot of them at parties, but we hung out beyond that as well, and that was really cool.

While it may be true that the show was smaller this year, it is also true that CES and AEE were going on at the same time. Bad planning? Perhaps. Next year should be much better. You try things, see how they work, and then you fix the things that didn't for the next time.

The parties were the biggest thing for me, though. I did SO much networking at them, and made some good friends, I think. Even if all we had done was just get together and party, the trip would have been worth it for me.

You can NEVER count out the value of networking over alcohol. It's invaluable!

Can't WAIT for next year!
