About the movie "Three Dancing Slaves"..

This was a VERY hot movie for more than one reason, and while I understand the family was both CLOSE and APART, the scene where the two younger brothers are laying naked in the arms of their older brother (HOT!) while their dad is staring at them from the end of the bed sitting on a chair in his underwear..made me go.."UMM..?"

Don't get me wrong..HOT scene..but, was that just an erotic moment thrown in for the movie..or was these brothers a LOT closer than I thought?
May have to see the movie again to pick up on any subtlties I missed.

Btw..SEATTLE is going to the SUPER BOWL!! OH YEAH! More testosterone!!

Was it an Indian story? I just recently watched a program .. one of the learning channels, about society in India. Attachements and love between men is really the norm. Boys having no contact with girls, before they are married, form bonds that don't end on the wedding day.

Never having that kind of sexual contact in my history, with a sib, can only wonder .. is it just our culture that disallows natural childhood curosity? Our whole block of kids got caught playing show- me- yours games in a garage. We were shooed off and told if we couldn't keep our cloths on, there was yard work to be done. We scattered.

I had an interesing discussion with a friend over the subject of incest. Our ideas of it in our culture are really screwed up. At least here in the states. I don't know what the views are internationally.

Okay, here in America you are not supposed to have sex with someone in your own family. This comes from the idea that when people of the same bloodline reproduce it causes physical problems in the offspring. Now, if you are adopted, you are not often given any information on your birth partents. So it is morally wrong to have sex with someone in your adopted family, even though it would not cause the same physical problems in the offspring because you do not share the same bloodline. However, you could go off and have sex with someone else who just may be your own sister, or cousin or even mother and never know it, causing the problems with the offspring. I know they do the bloodtest when you get married, but really, how many people have kids out of wedlock and never know what kind of DNA they are mingling.

Now, what if you are gay? Having sex with someone in your bloodline would have no physical ramifications whatsoever, yet we are still bound by the idea that incest is morally wrong.

This all came out of a conversation I had with a friend of mine. He told me that when he was younger he used to have sex with his brother. My first reaction was that it was nasty and wrong. But when he asked me why I felt it was nasty and wrong, I really didn't have an answer. You have two consenting adults (they were in their late teens) who are hurting nobody. What's the big deal? Then I realized that being adopted and gay, I could have very well slept with a brother or my own biological father (I do like older men).

So I've learned to rethink my ideas on this. I guess it's easy for me because there is nobody in my family that I've ever been remotely attracted to, so it's not like it's something I'm really going to have to face for myself, heh heh. But even so, I'm not quite so freaked out by the idea of it anymore.

I think it was just showing how close the brothers were, not necessarily that they were having sex with each other. Europeans are traditionally much more open about sex and nudity than we are in the States, and I think the movie was representational of that.

Loved the scene where all the dudes were jerking off while watching porn in the same room. That was hot. Kept waiting for more of them to have sex with each other.

Our society is rather messed up in many, MANY ways, in case we haven't figured any of this out yet, especially when it comes to sex.

Personally, I've never really had any problems with family members playing around with each other here and there. But I suppose that comes with not being attracted to my own father or brother. (I did, however, play around with a cousin or two of mine when we were little kids and in our early teens. I enjoyed it. And I'm sure if I had a brother who was drop-dead gorgeous (and who was open to the idea), I would have been all over his ass growing up. Big deal.) But the idea of two brothers getting it on REALLY gets me hot. I've often ended up calling a guy "big brother" or "little brother" while fooling around in bed, and they get REALLY turned on too. Is it the taboo nature of it that does that for us?

Everyone remembers Flowers in the Attic, right? I mean, it's one of the most popular-selling novels of all time, and it was all about incest between a brother and a sister. People ate that shit up. (I always wondered just what kind of childhood V.C. Andrews had as a young girl. All of her books dealt with incest in some way.)

One of my favorite movies is For a Lost Soldier, a beautifully executed and emotionally devastating film about a young boy who falls in love with a Canadian soldier during World War II. Obviously, adult-child sex is a major no-no in most cultures (and admittedly, for very good reason; for the record, I'm not an advocate of pedophilia at all), but we also forget that adult-child sex was the norm in Greek and Roman cultures. It was a rite of passage, a way for young boys to be initiated into manhood by their elders. And that's pretty fuckin' hot in my eyes. Hell, I would have killed for an older men to have broken me in when I was 14, 15, 16. That would have rocked my world -- in a good way!

Everything that we tend to frown upon in the U.S. is widely accepted and even encouraged in other cultures and countries. We have all these ideas about how sex fucks us up, b/cuz, quite frankly, we are fucked up about sex. We are uncomfortable dealing with it, and we have no idea how to accept the varying expressions of it that are most often very natural human tendencies, so we place everything in these little boxes and label them "right" and "wrong" and if you don't fit into those boxes, you're a deviant or a sick pervert or whatever. So I've just learned to make my own rules in order to govern my life, not accept a radically repressed and shame-obsessed country's archaic notions of what constitutes "right" and "wrong," "moral" and "immoral" or "appropriate" and "inappropriate" sexuality.

People tend to look at me with raised eyebrows when I talk this way. I just don't govern my life by the same rules and regulations as everyone else does. If that makes me perverted in others' eyes, then so be it. It's their issue to deal with, not mine.
