I know I'm not the only one that has the tv on in the background while sitting here and working, and there are lots of occassions when gay or porn creeps into the script of some show either during a talkshow, or a series. Was just wondering what some of you remember hearing lately, and the context.
Like the other night on Leno, some guy is on, and is talking about himself and his brother, and how he's the one that should of been gay (but isn't) and quips off "I mean, seriously, look at my shoes" ... and then goes on to say how homophobic his brother tries to be. So he tells his brother, oh hell, everyone is a homosexual at some level, just others are more obvious about it. And of course the brother disagrees ... I ain't no fag type stuff.
Yes you are, and I can prove it. You like porn right?
Brother: Hell yea, you know I do. I love watching men and women having sex.
Well, you like seeing guys with small flacid looking cocks?
Brother: Hell no! I want to see thick monster ripping ......
at which point he stops and realizes what he has just admitted.
Then on CSI last nite we have two of the guys in a dessert hunting for clues.
1 st guy "Everytime I come out to the dessert I always see porn mags lying around. Who would come out here to look at spank?"
2nd guy "Probably just blows in from the highway, people tossing them out the window."
1st guy "Toss out? You don't toss away porn! It becomes part of the family legacy that gets passed down through the generations..."
From just these two examples of "in passing" commentary, I would tend to believe that there's a more relaxed attitude about both gays and porn than most Americans care to admit. Anyone else got a thought or example?
