Actually, Brokeback is really only 2 hours long, the same length as many other movies. I think it's because the pacing is so languid that it made it feel long for you. I've seen it four times now, and it doesn't seem nearly as long the second time.

And I'm with DonMike. I LOVE long movies. Anytime there is a 3-hour movie coming out, I RUSH to the theater. Some of my favorite movies ever are the longer ones. The three Lord of the Rings movies didn't even become MOVIES for me until they released the extended cuts on DVD. I don't have a short attention span. Hell, when they played Branagh's 4-hour Hamlet, I was in heaven. Now THAT's a cinematic experience!
