Just came across this GREAT story by a friend of mine. He wrote it for Out.com. For anyone who doesn't think that Brokeback Mountain is a profoundly resonant film that tells it like it is and is very important to the gay community, you should read this. You may dislike the movie yourself for "political" reasons, but stories like this prove, to me at least, that gay politics are irrelevant when telling a story that has such far-reaching potential as Brokeback.
