I've had my issues with this board in the past and various members of it. I think we all have. And I'd suspect at least a couple people have had issues with me .

But the fact of the matter is that there is such a wealth of valuable information available through this board and the people who so selflessly share it that it's a remarkable tool.

What always astonishes me about this board is how so many of its regulars so freely share incredibly useful, insightful, intelligent information and advice yet also stay so open minded and willing to listen themselves. It impresses me a great deal when I see someone make a post sharing advice that so clearly demonstrates they are an informed, successful webmaster who could do perfectly well shutting themselves off from newer webmasters and never again offering up an ounce of free advice, yet they still eagerly contribute to helping others. They don't get arrogant about it wealth of information they obviously have; they don't get selfish with it; they take a genuine interest in helping others.

At the risk of sounding immodest, I've been fairly successful in this industry. I first entered in to it 3 years ago and have achieved a great deal in that time that I am quite proud of. Yet, everytime I come here, I still learn new things and everytime I come here I'm reminded of the fact that a great many of the board members here who helped me achieve success still continue to do just that. There will never be any point at which I'm unable to benefit from the information offered up here.

And it's a shame when anyone shuts themselves off from that.

Damn I gotta stop working and check this place out more, I miss way too much of the fun.. :coffee:

Ya know Chad, I envisioned Don sashaying around a stripper pole... man that was hot... :honest:

Thanks Jim that was sweet of ya hun.

Paco you are a riot, even if you are a greener... :coffee: but then you live in my old home town so I can understand.

If maxie would just understand that if he put half the energy into his business that he puts into being a pratt, he'd be quite successful. Maybe in time he'll understand, but I got just way too much work to waste the time. :coffee: Speaking of which, time to get back to it. Thanks again Jim... and everyone else.

..."some people are steps and some are stumbling blocks!"....

i don't mind answering questions i know and/or have an interest in but if you cannot respond back within your posts don't expect me to respond to any further posts you may have.
i have no interest in seeing anyone fail (unless of course you are doing something you are not suppose to) in fact i encourage as much as possible but if you are going to be difficult , may i show you to the door?
as with anything , especially those of you who are new ( it may surprise some of you that i've actually been here over a year!...go away! , go away! - smiguel ) you must carefully "weigh" the data here since it involves so many "unique" opinions ( i'm the only normal one here! ) before making any decisions.
and before i totally "hi-jack" this thread ( cause it's all about me baby! ) and change it into something i'm truly interested in knowing like...how much to buy e*rocreme?

sincerely ~ ..."careful not to step too hard on what's in front of you while your looking into the distance"...

    I dunno.

While I am very intolerant of rudeness and bad manners, I will say that sometimes I learn more when people like maxpower "stir things up" a bit.

Almost like it brings out the passion in people.

Sometimes I read his posts though and think, "hmmm. Where IS that ballgag of mine. . ."

cant we all just get a long?

"I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school... I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy..." from MEAN GIRLS - very appropriate for all the bitchiness, dont you think? :cute:

Hehe... that is SUCH a good quote. who doesnt love cheesy humor every once and a while?

but frankly, I dont get why people enjoy causing drama or being a jack ass on the board. its a little pathetic dont you think? I mean, why bother if you have something better to do with yourself? just my cheap two cents

that is an awesome quote, and yes, I, too, simply adore fromage!

Why the drama? I think some have a lonely & boring existence/life, and the only way for them to be entertained (a side from them TRYING to properly merge with society), by others, is by injecting some poison in to a situation and responding to the infection it has just created. It may not be the best method of communication, however, it may be all he has.

Why be a jackass? I must admit that I often try to be silly (whether a little or a lot), so to this I will not be a hypocrite.

I think his issues are the result of his adolescence :baby:

some people feel unimportant, and making a lot of big claims and a lot of drama makes them feel noticed and important. i know people who still do that at 70 years old - there's no age limit to it.

the sad thing is they don't realize it but most people here would help and respect a person who admits what he doesn't know. hell, i myself come here for help all the time and it doesn't make me feel any less a person than when i can help someone else.

Okay, I am a little upset! I JUST realized that none of you have tried to enslave me.

Is it because I am I too far gone?

Nah, it is because everyone here is just a bunch of heartless, self-centered, uncaring bastards that would turn the other way from a drowning puppy to pick a nickel from the dead hands of a lifeless vagrant.
