You do realize by 'gay' I mean a man who has sex with other men?
So no-one uses scripts to automate or build their sites?

Words paint the real picture
why use scripts when we can just hire someone to do it and charge it to the GWW credit card? :honest:
I use some scripts but for specific things like my newsletter, course the blog is technically a script I suppose and uses some scripts to ping and all that stuff, but for building sites, the old fashioned coding in dw for me.
Used an auto submitter for TGPs if that counts, but definately not for SE. :coffee:

I have to share my feelings
My buzzwords for 2006 are automate and delagate. I prefer automation wherever possible as it is generally more dependable than employees, but Fishy is the exception to that rule.
We use scripts for CMS, for our various ad tools for affiliates, our help desk and support system, and a variety other repetitive tasks. I used to use chameleon for gallery submitting but most of the tgp sites are affiliates now. I like to let the computer do as much of the work as possible, especially on things that can be easily documented and reduced to automation.
Most of the time, all these little things that are supposed to make my life so much better make it hell in the short term, getting eveything set up, but once that is done and any bugs are worked out and learning curves met, I am usually happy I did.
