Don't get too spooked about the "questions/interview process" as you characterize it. I always ask people that I meet some questions. If you handle it properly, it relexes them, because everyone likes the fact that you are curious or interested in them. And when I see them again, I can follow up with what they've told me.

I just am tired of going on dates to movies and bars and that sort of thing, so now I only go on dates that involve some the outdoors like kayaking, surfing, hiking, trail running, football games, something where the focus isn't conversation and there is no pressure to talk. Not because I avoid talking, but because I think that when two people sit down at a table and eat, there is pressure, but when you are both on surfboards, your concentration is elsewhere and people let their guard down (same thing if they are really drunk).
