We tried the quick reply box about 6 months ago for less than 12 hours and never brought it back because of the additional strain it placed on the server.

I beleive JelSoft are working on a more streamlined version of the VBulletin quick reply which isnt going to be 'as' server intensive as the current one and, when that version has been tested and made avaiable for general release we'll run another test of it on the GWW Community.
