To answer Ken's question, I know Bedfellow.com was one of the early players, along with a bunch of now-gone sites offering stolen content
netpics.cc which is now a separate site was originally part of the Badpuppy network, and dates back to at least 1996.
And... joining the ranks of those dating themselves, I had a 28.8 modem that most of the time connected only at 14.4 or so, with dialup Compuserve service as well as Internet service through my college. I remember downloading pics from a site run by a guy named Halvor Johansen who was in Norway and had a bunch of pics of naked guys he'd collected from here and there. However, *my* monitor was color... all 16 of them
Sorry if this is inappropriate, but this is one of the very first images I ever downloaded. It was because of such images, and because of one or two people in Toronto, that I decided that gay was ok and moved to the bigger city. Notice the vague attempt at copyright at the bottom of the image. I think it is a good indicator of how far each of us can go given a bit of time and determination. Bill Rivers signed this personally and recently he bought an airplane. I guess anything is possible in this business. The sky is the limit.

...And the ballcap-wearing blond in photo three shows Daniel Valient about to do what he really knew how to do best. Movies with the Czech guys were so new, and there was such a neat mystique with this all new territory.
The Soviet Empire had fallen just a couple of years earlier, so those Czech guys were all up for celebrating their Freedom of Movement like they never have before.

Indeed, MANcheck is turning 10 next year. We started in 1997. Over the past couple of years we've been producing our own content. And we've got some exciting new photo galleries and clips coming in the months ahead.
