There is nothing wrong with being single, if that is what a person wants.

I truly feel sorry for people that can not be alone - is their existence so hollow & devoid of meaning that they require another to add some (meaning) to it?

I've been single since late 1993, which of course means I've been forced to hear, daily, all sorts of advice and what it is I have to do.
Oh, are you okay.... did somebody hurt you? You have to ...

Some of my old 'friends' often tried to set me up because when we would all go out they would feel sorrow for me because I was/am the single guy in a gaggle of couples.
I stopped hanging with them because the huge slap to the face (insult) hurt, not my being single.

Seems as if being single is not trendy, thusly I (and other singles) do not fit in with society.
