And it's true; size really DOESN'T matter. That ideology is an unfortunate by-product of our community's obsession with superficiality. Admittedly, there is something quite thrilling about a nice big hefty cock. But if you have a connection with someone and the sex is hot, the size of his cock really shouldn't have a bearing on how much you enjoy his company in -- or out -- bed. No offense; I just think it's a shame that people dismiss others based on such unnecessary requirements. Ultimately, "hot" is who you are, now big your muscles or dick are. ANYONE can have a hot body or a big dick; what really makes them special is strength of character.
It's not the gay community's obsession with superficiality or dick size.

It's the male gender's obsession with it.

Penis enlargment, size enhancement and other such products are marketed quite successfully to straight men. The notion that a big dick makes one more masculine as well as more sexually appealing is one held by men across the board, gay or straight.

Now, with gay men, you have this existing idea that penis size makes one more masculine and appealing creating a two-way process - believing one is more sexually appealing themselves when they have a big dick, and believing another guy is more worth pursuit if they have a big dick.

With straight men it's just a one way process with the former, believing they'll be more attractive and appealing to women with a big dick.

But again, it comes down to men on the whole. Not just gay ones. Same with those volume-increasing pills. Women aren't the ones wanting guys to shoot off more splooge. But guys feel they're more masculine when they can fire off a huge load.

Any "issue" gay men as a community have can most always be narrowed down to a Western male issue, simply brought two fold by the nature of male/male interaction and relationships.
