Let's be honest with ourselves here.
If we can't build sites the surfers are willing to pay $30 a month to belong to what are we doing wrong?
Are our sites not good enough to warrant $30?
Well a lot are simply not, the worse thing that ever hit this industry was "Exclusive Amateur" content. It led to 1,000s of site owners shooting content themselves or getting some idiot to shoot it for them for peanuts. Plus sites without enough content to justify a months viewing. Unless your site contains 60 videos and 150 sets which are GOOD your site is not good value for a month.
The most damaging thing this industry ever did was to value affiliates above members, traffic above content.
When you value a busker giving away freebies at the bottom of the street more highly than the people paying his wages you do yourself, the customer and THE BUSKER a major disservice.
Why does this industry convert at 1 to 1,000? Because we have not got something 999 are willing to spend money on. Who's fault is that?
