Perhaps I'm too cynical but I don't see the point of having 600 strangers be my "friends". The few real friends and family I have absorb enough of my time already.
I'm truly getting old... I just don't get it.
I think MySpace is one of those "highly significant" Internet breakthroughs that happen every couple of years.... like google, eBay or Amazon.com. It's literally revolutionizing socializing.Originally Posted by Xstr8guy

OMG, is that the statment of the century. I have people in my friends list who I used to hang out with when I lived in Pittsburgh. We totally lost touch after several years of my living here. No emails, no phone calls, nothing. Then, when we got on my space I hear from them all the time now. I guess it's out of sight, out of mind, but when you see someone's pic on your computer and all you need to do is click on it to send them a message it's easier to keep in touch.Originally Posted by desslock

Hmm, that's probably due either to the YouTube link or the embedded music player (which is part of myspace). At least I hope it's one of those two things. Can anyone help me out here?Originally Posted by Xstr8guy

MySpace is owned by Rupert Murdoch - only natural it would dominateOh and did I mention that all the references to myspace on Fox News might have helped its success a bit? he he
Among social-networking sites, MySpace accounted for nearly 80 percent of visits last month.
So essentially... if you're promoting someone, something, or yourself, MySpace is the place to be seen :groovy:
Yes, I can see how using it as a promotion device but isn't that against their T&C to promote porn?Originally Posted by Squirt
But I still don't see an need to socialize with a bunch of strangers over the internet and make "friends". GWW is a different beast altogether. I may socialize on here a bit with people I've never met but at least I'm learning and doing business.
and you speak French... you just broke any stereotypes I've had of a guy with the username of Doctor Dre :groovy:Originally Posted by Doctor Dre
