Yeah, that's a good idea to clean up a valuable data base like that and get rid of all that information, it must just take up so much space, especially with data storage being so darn expensive in this day and age. Maybe better to write it on 3 x 5 cards? Then you can just store the cards in a filing cabinet, and if someone does something you assume goes against community values, you can just throw the cards in the recycling bin. This will save you data storage costs, save trees, and save time using that new-fangled computer thing with all the blinky lights.

I mean it's not fair. Some of the members may have been not active for quite a while... And they may also have spam filters... So some of them may have not got your warning to their Emails... And they will loose their accounts...

And some people like me just read the posts but don't write anything. I think Lee is trying to get more active members instead of cleaning the inactive ones. Actions like this would bring only hate and detestation against this forum and the whole site.

but i can tell you it's a pain in the ass! what ever it is. members should not have to logon everytime they come here. weekly would be good even daily but not everytime you come to read...

I never have to log on when I visit the site. I'm always permanently logged on. It's one of the things I love about GWW. This sounds like it's an issue specific to your ISP.

I've moderated several boards, and it's routine for many moderators to go through and delete inactive accounts. If you want to come onto a board and take information, you should be willing to share it as well. What's so hard about that? It's only fair to everyone. I think it's a quite reasonable expectation as well. If you want to be a part of a community, you should participate in that community.
