There are people in our industry that swear their business, or service, is immune to "American" law but the reality is quite different. Paris just outlawed topless beaches and things are generally becoming more conservative then just a few years ago, internationally.

Uhm - not quite correct - they outlawed being topless at "Paris Plage" at the Seine banks in Paris - they haul tons of sand to the concrete banks and let people sunbathe there

Paris, France (AHN) - In a move to preserve the tranquility of the sandy beaches in France's capital Paris, the City hall has issued a decree banning 'indecent clothing'.

Under the decree, sunbathers will not be allowed to go nude or topless on the beaches and if they are caught in topless or nude condition then they will be fined.

Quoting Saturday's edition of Le Parisien, Reuters explained that, the decree said "People must behave according to good standards to maintain tranquillity, security and public order. Notably indecent attire (nude sunbathing, g-strings and toplessness etc) is forbidden."

The city police will be enforcing the rules, and anyone caught baring too much flesh risks a $48 fine, a report said. SOURCE

that refers to beaches in Paris, Paris doesn't have any beaches just concrete banks.

Once a year for a few weeks they bring in sand and create beaches on the river banks.

That does not mean they outlaw being topless an all beaches though
