In a letter to the FSC, the attorney representing the Justice Department did directly say that redacted IDs were acceptable. However, the judge also admonished the justice dept attorney saying that he (the judge) didn't belive that the attorney was authorized to speak for the justice department on some of those issues... so who knows what is or is not acceptable with regard to those issues...
